The callous Tommy Lynn Sells murdered his first victim before he had become an adult – at only 16 years of age. It can’t be said for sure but it appears as if one his father’s quotes stuck in his mind. His first victim was 13 years older to him, a 29 year old single mother who went by the name of Ena Cordt. From that moment on, back in 1985, Tommy Lynn Sells went on a killing spree that spanned over a decade (almost 15 years) and ended the lives of more than 70 unfortunate souls.

Tommy Lynn Sells was arrested after the murder of Katy Harris and assault on her friend Krystal Surles who survived the onslaught and was a key element that led to Sells’ arrest. Upon his arrest, Sells willingly turned himself in to the police, even led them to his preferred weapon and also redemonstrated his last act. Texas Rangers who went to arrest Sells said that he was thankful to them for arresting him as he had grown tired of living the life of a callous executioner.
