Waste Management CEO

Sometimes the reality shows are real teasers for the participants as they have to go through trying times and unwanted experiences. Can you imagine a CEO of business as big as amounting to $13 billions picking trash and cleaning toilets? It looks like I am relating a nightmare but it just happened after the telecast of Super Bowl that Waste Management CEO Larry O’Donnell’s was seen working as an low paid worker over the new reality show Undercover boss. It must have been a most humbling experience for Waste Management CEO to work as an ordinary sanitary worker for a whole week. The working week proved to be an eye opener for him. He experienced the difficulties or the challenges his workers have to face daily.

After working as an undercover boss he gave some raises and ordered some improvements in the working environment of the employees but that was in front of camera. How much difference these improvements can make? It remains to be seen. Or may be the reality show should do a follow up/fact finding episode with the real workers.

A longest sigh of relief Waste Management CEO must have taken after slipping into his designer suit and coming back to his comfortable office. A dreadful experience he must be thinking coming to the level of low middle class as it happens in fairy tales when a prince is turned into a beggar or some ugly character after receiving a curse or worldly punishment.

The show got a rating of 59%. Next week you will see the Hooters’ President working along the chefs or hostesses.
